Oppo officially announced the Watch X’s launch on February 29, showcasing a design strikingly similar to what’s been teased for the OnePlus Watch 2, including distinctive button placement and band design. Crucially, Oppo explicitly confirms the use of Wear OS, with the “Wear OS by Google” logo prominently featured in the teaser image, specifying a minimum requirement of Android 8.0. This all but solidifies the likelihood that the OnePlus Watch 2 will indeed run on Wear OS, supported by the teaser’s promise of a 100-hour battery life and the FCC’s disclosure of a substantial 500 mAh battery capacity. The suspense will soon end as the official unveiling of the OnePlus Watch 2 is slated for February 26.
