Cruse starts out the show by asking Shafer what he thought of the game between the Dallas Wings and Las Vegas Aces on Friday night. “The first thing that I noted in this game is that Jackie Young is absurdly good at basketball,” Shafer said. “If you get to see that kind of Young, who’s hitting pull-up threes out of a pick-and-roll … the Aces are still a very dangerous team.”

Later on, Cruse and Shafer discuss the game between the Chicago Sky and the Brazilian national team. “This was a Brazilian national team made up almost entirely of players playing in the US,” Shafer pointed out. “But this Sky team is doing a lot of interesting things.” Shafer acknowledged some of the creative decisions head coach Tyler Marsh is making with his new team, like taking advantage of Angel Reese‘s ambidextrous dribbling.
