Megdal and Graham open the show by discussing the Wings’ tough current situation. “I’d like this to be a happier occasion to be talking about Dallas,” Megdal says. “It’s been a rough go,” he adds as he points to the team’s 5-17 record.

Graham concurs. “It seems like other teams are, you know, finding their stride, getting a little better, while, you know, Dallas has had to constantly kind of take a seat back, start over. … So it’s gonna be a tough, tough path, not likely to the playoffs.”
Megdal and Graham discuss the injuries plaguing the team at length, but they also touch on areas of growth. “[Guard] Jacy Sheldon is central to that to me,” Megdal says. “I thought that was a terrific selection by Dallas. Again, going back to ‘both things can be true.’ Dallas does not have enough in the back court to be fully competitive as a playoff team. … At the same time, recognizing that getting Jacy Sheldon where Dallas did in the draft was a steal.”

Megdal and Graham wrap things up by predicting where they think Dallas can go in the future. “They got to have the core, they got to have the pieces,” Graham says. “But I don’t know, building from the draft again and again hasn’t really seemed to work outside of last season.”
