Hull’s breakthrough season was a testament to her resilience and confidence. This surge in performance came after a shift in her mindset and more opportunities on the court, where she focused on capitalizing on every chance, regardless of her minutes.
Reflecting on her growth, she explained, “Just getting the opportunity in that second half of the season and seeing them go in, and then continuing to get those open looks really just fed that confidence.” She also credited her ability to maintain composure in high-pressure moments, a critical factor in her successful season.
Looking ahead, Hull is focused on continuing to elevate her game. As she enters her fourth year, she recognizes the need to be more dynamic, improving her offensive game by adding versatility at different scoring levels. She emphasized how coach Stephanie White, a seasoned winner, has been pushing her and the team to be more complete players on both ends of the court. “She’s mentioned specific ways I can be more dynamic … just make me harder to guard,” Hull said on the podcast.
The Fever’s ambition is clear, with Hull adding, “I think our ceiling is at a championship, and hopefully we can reach that.”
