Locked On Women's Basketball: Fever need Caitlin Clark back

The Fever scored a season-low 58 points and shot just 36.2 percent from the field. They dropped to 4-5, sitting at seventh in the league standings.

“They have some stretches where their offense is really flowing and they can get from action to action, and they have some other stretches where they run through their first thing, and if there’s no shot, they’re like, who are you? Are you my teammate?” East said. “They just can’t score, and it’s, it’s very perplexing, and I get that they’re very new and working through stuff, and they’ve been injured, but, you know, it’s 10 games in, like, we’re almost a quarter of the way through the season, and they haven’t quite gotten through that kind of hurdle that they’ve been dealing with for so long.”

In the second and third segments, they took a look at upcoming games and how the Fever need to proceed and secure a WNBA playoff bid. However, East said they are still unpredictable even with Clark back in the rotation.

“They’re probably below that first tier, somewhere in that three through six range if you had to rank them before the season, it’s just there’s so much newness,” East said. “You just don’t know, even though, obviously, I think people realize that their peak could be quite high.”
