Locked On WBB: A 'glass half full' look around the WNBA

Adler begins by sharing her favorite thing about the Sun:

“It’s watching the guards … with what Ty Harris and DiJonai Carrington bring as, respectively, probably the best off-ball shooter in the league and just such an insane driving, rim-pressure presence. They’re not the best players in the world at everything a guard can do, but what they do in terms of playing off of [star bigs] DeWanna Bonner … Bri Jones and Alyssa Thomas, I think it’s just really fun to watch how that chemistry works and what they’re able to do.”

At the other end of the standings, the Mystics started the season 0-12 but have won three of their past four games. Adler mentions the strong play of rookie forward Aaliyah Edwards, who is averaging 8.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Cruse adds:

“I would just say positional passing [is a positive for the Mystics]. They swing the ball quickly. They get shots. And they miss the shot sometimes, but they make the shot sometimes.”
